Sifra Vieten

Sifra finds her inspiration in raw and vulnerable stories. Together with her partner and three children – and a fourth on the way – she captures the beauty and complexity of everyday life in her artwork.

As a self-taught artist, Sifra has developed a unique approach to art, free from conventions and rules. Her work reflects her personal journey and the stories that deeply touch her, giving you an intimate glimpse into the emotions that connect us all. Love is her greatest source of inspiration and this is reflected in all her work. Her art is an ode to the genuine, unfiltered experiences that make us human.

Alisa makes impressive flower sculptures from paper and textile. She was born in Ukraine, raised in Saint Petersburg and has lived in Amsterdam since 2017.

The world is full of flowers, each with a unique meaning for everyone. This is an important source of inspiration for Alisa. For some, flowers are a symbol of joy, while for others they bring back memories of sadness. This inspiration motivates Alisa to create her sculptures so that everyone can enjoy the different emotions and connections that flowers evoke.

Alisa begins her process by carefully observing the shape of the flower. She then chooses the material: paper or textile. She measures and cuts the shapes of the flowers and petals and decorates them with fabric paint. Metal frames are added to the petals for extra structure and volume. After this she makes, colors and shapes the flower stem. Ultimately, Alisa combines all elements into one whole.
