Shared cars Amber

The electric shared cars from the Eindhoven company Amber will soon be available in the parking garage for all tenants of WTC Amsterdam. Amber is the fastest growing business sharing mobility provider in the Netherlands and places sharing hubs throughout the country. In collaboration with CBRE, Amber is now also opening a hub in the WTC parking garage. “To be able to offer a fully-fledged alternative to private car ownership.” That is the dream with which Amber was founded in 2016 and that is still the mission that everyone within Amber strives for every day. Cars stand still 95% of the time and take up a lot of space. Moreover, 98% of cars run on fossil fuels and problems such as traffic jams, parking pressure and poor air quality are increasing. Because Amber guarantees that a shared car is available, having your own car actually becomes unnecessary. In this way, fewer cars need to be produced (which releases a lot of emissions!) and cities become more attractive, more livable and healthier.

Mobility is largely business-related, but traditional pool car systems or other sharing services take little account of matching supply and demand, which means that even with these systems, cars still stand still a lot and there is no guarantee that a car is available. Amber offers all its users guaranteed mobility from all hubs in the Netherlands, including the WTC from February 17. Ease of use, worry-free, sustainability and flexibility are of paramount importance to Amber. With a fleet of fully electric BMW i3s, Amber currently offers mobility to more than 7,000 users throughout the Netherlands. All users can pick up and return cars at all public hubs in the Netherlands. This hub system increases the user’s flexibility and makes multimodal travel easier. All you need is the Amber app. For more information, visit www.driveamber.com/wtc-amsterdam or contact us directly at sales@driveamber.com.
