Renovations

WTC Amsterdam | Welcome To Change

Same address, upgraded experience.

World Trade Center Amsterdam is going through a major transformation and we want you to be part of the journey. On this page, you’ll find everything you need to know about what’s changing, what to expect, and how we’re working to make your daily experience as smooth as possible while we build something great together. Read more about the renovation of the shared spaces and the parking garage renovation below.

Renovation of the Shared Spaces

We’re rethinking what a workspace can be. More open, more welcoming.

We’re redesigning all shared spaces to create a building that’s more open, more sustainable, and, most importantly, a place where people naturally come together.

Our new entrance was officially opened during the 40hrs Festival in November. Now, we’ve moved on to the next big chapter: the Central Lobby. Right now, it’s completely stripped back, and yes, it looks quite dramatic. But it’s all for the better. Soon, we’ll also open up the facade between the entrance and the lobby, creating one bright, seamless, welcoming space. Curious about the end result? Watch the video to see what’s coming.

What’s happening — Latest updates

Week 6 - Good news: the walking route along ZuidAs Dock is open again. The screed floor with underfloor heating has been laid, so you can walk through as usual.

Week 7 - The lobby has been fully cleared out and it’s surprising how much space that creates when everything is gone. A tent structure has been placed to contain dust during the demolition works. Unfortunately takes away the view, but necessary and smart.

Week 8-9 - Demolition of the lobby floor kicks off. The existing screed will be removed to prepare for new underfloor heating. You may notice some construction waste being transported out. We’re doing everything we can to keep disruption to a minimum.

Extra: Lifts Tower 3 & 4 - We’ll also be starting work on the lifts in Tower 3 and 4 soon. This means two lifts will temporarily be out of service (expected start: week 8). We’ll keep this period as short as possible, though it may extend slightly. Exact start date to follow — we’ll keep you posted.

Parking Garage Renovation

Change is happening below ground too. We’re carrying out a full renovation of the parking garage beneath Towers 3 through 8, from sprinkler systems and lighting to ventilation and floor coating. The result: a cleaner, brighter, and more modern garage.

What’s happening — Latest updates

What’s been done so far? We kicked off with phases 1 & 2 on level P2 at the end of 2025. The sprinkler system has been replaced, lighting renewed, and redundant pipes and air ducts removed. The ventilation system has been modernised and new floor coating is being applied. You’ll also notice that in many spots we’ve gone from three to two parking spaces per row, cars are simply wider than they used to be. P2 is nearly complete, with just a few small areas of coating work remaining.

What’s happening now?
Week 8 - As of 16 February, we’ve started phase 3 on level P1. The section of the garage between Tower Ten and Zuidplein will be closed in two parts of roughly 10 weeks each. The rest of the garage remains fully accessible, and there’s plenty of parking available on P2.

During phases 3 & 4, we’re replacing the sprinkler system on P1, renewing the lighting, and continuing with the removal of redundant air ducts and installation of the new ventilation system. You may have already noticed the garage looking more spacious, we removed two partition walls ahead of schedule to keep the overall timeline as tight as possible.

When will it be finished? We expect the full renovation to be completed by the end of July. The end result: a fresh, modern garage that matches the new WTC Amsterdam
